How It Works: Storing Your Data Securely
Our process for storing your data involves three simple steps that ensure it remains protected at all times:
1. Data Transmission
You conveniently write your data to a virtual network drive or object storage on your client PC. In the background your data is transmitted to our appliance.
2. Cryptographic Fragmentation
The appliance splits the data into multiple, fragments using advanced cryptographic techniques.
3. Fragments Stored Separately
The appliance writes these data fragments to your storages at different physical locations—whether on your private or public cloud storage.
How It Works: Seamless Retrieval
Accessing your data follows a similar, secure process. Each time you retrieve your data, the steps are:
1. Fragments Read Separately
The system retrieves each encrypted fragment from its separate storage location.
2. Cryptographic Data Reconstruction
These fragments are securely combined to reconstruct your original data.
3. Data Transmission
Once reassembled, your data is transmitted to the client PC and made available as virtual network drive or object storage, ready to be used.
Security Features
Stored data fragments are protected by quantum-resistant secret-sharing algorithms
Network communication to cloud storages is protected with quantum-resistant key exchange and encryption protocols and algorithms
Your data will self-heal if fragments are manipulated (e.g., by ransomware)
