IT Security Engineer (m/f/d)

At fragmentiX, we empower individuals and businesses to safeguard their data against loss and attacks – even from quantum computers –  by  cryptographically distributing it across multiple cloud storages.

We’re expanding our close-knit, friendly software development team in Austria to accelerate and enhance the features of our main products. We practice agile software development and prioritize security by design.

Excited by these tasks?

  • Continuously improve the security architecture and its implementation in our products
  • Integrate smartcards and TPMs into the product architecture
  • Modify boot loader, kernel, and low-level device drivers for a Unix-like operating system
  • Document your work inline and in our knowledge base
  • Participate in code reviews and help maintain and improve our codebase

Is this you?

  • You have a technical education, ideally in IT security, or computer science (university of applied sciences, university), or an equivalent professional experience.
  • You have at least three years of professional experience, ideally as IT security engineer
  • You are fluent in Linux/Unix and, ideally, have experience in system programming in C/C++ or Rust
  • You’re a team player who enjoys learning and sharing knowledge.
  • You work independently and thrive on solving problems.
  • Ideally, you can demonstrate your expertise by certifications.
  • You can communicate fluently in English; German is a plus.

  • A competitive salary based on your qualifications and experience. For legal reasons, however, we are obliged to point out that the minimum salary under the collective agreement (Handels-KV 2025, Group E) for this position is EUR 2.471,00 gross/month (on a full-time basis)
