Vom 26. bis 27. Februar veranstaltete das Instituto de Telecomunica\u00e7\u00f5es in Aveiro einen Workshop im Bereich der Quantenkommunikationsnetze, organisiert vom PTQCI-Konsortium (Portugiesische Quantenkommunikationsinfrastruktur).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ziel der Veranstaltung war es, die wichtigsten Akteure auf dem Gebiet der Quantentechnologien zusammenzubringen, um \u00fcber die Umsetzung des k\u00fcnftigen Quantenkommunikationsnetzes in seinen nationalen und europ\u00e4ischen Aspekten zu diskutieren und Ideen auszutauschen. Die Pr\u00e4sentationen waren dem PTQCI-Projekt und anderen internationalen Quantennetzwerken (Spanien, \u00d6sterreich und USA) gewidmet, an denen Regierungen, Industrieunternehmen und akademische Einrichtungen beteiligt sind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In seinem Vortrag erl\u00e4uterte Christoph Pacher, CTO bei fragmentiX, die einzigartigen Vorteile die fragmentiX Secret Sharing Appliances und Trusted Nodes f\u00fcr sichere Netzwerkarchitekturen und QKD-Netzwerke bieten:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die von fragmentiX hergestellten Secret Sharing Appliances bieten einen starken Schutz gegen aktuelle Cyberbedrohungen wie Datendiebstahl von Speicheranbietern, jede Art von Manipulation gespeicherter Daten und Ransomware-Angriffe auf Speicheranbieter. Somit erh\u00f6hen Secret Sharing Appliances die Vertraulichkeit, Integrit\u00e4t und Verf\u00fcgbarkeit von Data-at-Rest in Public\/Private\/Hybrid Clouds erheblich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ein Trusted Node ist ein manipulationssicheres Geh\u00e4use oder Geb\u00e4ude, das Krypto-Ger\u00e4te wie QKD- und KMS-Ger\u00e4te und die zwischen ihnen ausgetauschten Schl\u00fcssel sch\u00fctzt. Ein Trusted Node bildet eine physische Sicherheitsgrenze mit mehreren Systemen zur Erkennung und zum Schutz vor Eindringlingen und bietet auch Schutz vor Datenlecks durch Strahlung. Derzeit baut fragmentiX im Rahmen eines gef\u00f6rderten Projekts Prototypen von Trusted Nodes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The unique advantages of the current fragmentiX product line and an outlook on upcoming developments in fragmentiX technologies for secure network architectures and QKD networks were key aspects of the presentation held by Christoph Pacher, CTO at fragmentiX, as part of his invitation to the PTQCI workshop.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim of the event was to bring together the main players in the field of quantum technologies to discuss and exchange ideas on the implementation of the future quantum communication network in its national and European aspects. The presentations were dedicated to the PTQCI project and other international quantum networks (in Spain, Austria, and USA) involving governments, industrial companies and academic institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his presentation, Christoph Pacher, CTO at fragmentiX, explained the unique advantages that fragmentiX secret sharing appliances and trusted nodes offer for secure network architectures and QKD networks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Secret sharing appliances produced by fragmentiX offer strong protection against current cyberthreats such as data theft from storage providers, any kind of manipulation or erasure of stored data, and ransomware attacks on storage providers. Thus secret sharing appliances strongly increase the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data-at-rest in public\/private\/hybrid clouds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A trusted node is a tamperproof housing or building that protects crypto-devices like QKD and KMS appliances and keys that are exchanged between them. A trusted node forms a physical security perimeter using multiple intrusion detection and protection systems and provides also protection against data leaks by radiation. Currently, fragmentiX is building prototypes of trusted nodes in a funded project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
